Introduction.

This website gives details on the various medals and other awards made over the years in connection with the Nijmegen Vierdaagse (the Nijmegen Marches). There is currently limited published material on these awards. This site is an attempt to fill the gap by giving details of the main types and variations of the medals and the periods they were awarded. The information has been drawn from a number of sources, including books and websites (see sources / links page), contact with other Vierdaagse participants and collectors, old photographs and by examining the medals themselves. The information on this site is incomplete, and will inevitably contain omissions and errors. Please contact me at: if you notice anything that may be inaccurate, or if you have any other comments. The photographs represent medals from my own collection. If you have any items that are not shown and which you think I might be interested in buying then, again, please let me know. Richard Pearson. Kent, England.
